About the show
Fool’s Gold is a Canadian humorous reality television series that follows Todd Ryznar and his ragtag crew as they explore the world of professional gold digging. The first eight episodes of the series premiered on May 13, 2014 on Discovery Channel CA in Canada.
Fool’s Gold is a hilarious look at Todd and his rookie team of would-be miners in their haphazard attempt to search for gold. The ragtag gang is armed with nothing more than backward ingenuity, perseverance and stubbornness. Their only equipment is made of rusty bed frames and old washing machine parts.
In season 2, the team dubbed Shotgun Exploration is back with greater knowledge, new equipment and hopefully better luck at striking it rich. Armed with a solid plan and more organization, Todd is determined to find gold by any means necessary.
