Netflix has unveiled its latest sports series, which will focus on pass catchers during the NFL 2023-24 season. The show will feature Davante Adams from the Las Vegas Raiders, Justin Jefferson from the Minnesota Vikings, George Kittle and Deebo Samuel from the San Francisco 49ers, and Amon-Ra St. Brown from the Detroit Lions.
The logline for the series reads: "It's been said that there's no more difficult position in the NFL than the quarterback. But throwing the pass is only half the story." Receiver will showcase the journeys of these five elite NFL pass catchers both on and off the field throughout the 2023 season.
Receiver is scheduled to premiere in the summer of 2024, marking a continuation of Netflix's collaboration with the NFL. This partnership began with the series Quarterback, which achieved significant success by ranking in the Netflix Global Top 10 for three consecutive weeks.
