Aaron Korsh, the creator and writer of the original series, has received a pilot order from NBC for Suits: L.A., a spinoff produced by UCP, a division of Universal Studio Group. Scheduled to commence production in late March in Vancouver, the offshoot will be directed and executive produced by Victoria Mahoney, as exclusively revealed by Deadline on Thursday.
Suits: L.A. revolves around Ted Black, a former federal prosecutor from New York, who has transformed his career by representing influential clients in Los Angeles. Faced with a crisis within his firm, Ted must confront a role he had previously held in contempt throughout his entire career in order to survive.
Surrounded by a compelling ensemble of characters, Ted finds himself navigating the complexities of loyalty and the intertwining of personal and professional lives. Meanwhile, the repercussions of events from years past slowly unfold, compelling Ted to abandon everything and everyone he once held dear.
