Jennifer Nettles, known for her roles in "Harriet" and "The Exorcist," has joined the cast of "The Bondsman," a genre action series created by Grainger David and headlined by Kevin Bacon. This series, ordered straight to series in June, is produced by Blumhouse TV for Prime Video.
In "The Bondsman," Nettles will take on the role of Maryanne, the ex-wife of Hub Halloran (played by Bacon). Hub, a backwoods bounty hunter, returns from the dead with a surprising second chance at life, love, and a nearly-forgotten musical career. However, he discovers that his old job now has a demonic new twist.
Erik Oleson, the showrunner for the second season of Amazon’s "Carnival Row," will serve as the showrunner for this half-hour, eight-episode series through his CrimeThink production company, which has a deal with the streaming platform.
