Apple TV+ has secured the rights to produce a sci-fi series based on Martha Wells' novels, "The Murderbot Diaries." Developed by Chris and Paul Weitz, known for "About a Boy," the show titled "Murderbots" explores the story of a security android capable of self-hacking. Despite its aversion to human emotions, the android finds itself drawn to the vulnerability of its "clients." Balancing the concealment of its free will, Murderbot embarks on a perilous mission, all while yearning for solitude to indulge in futuristic soap operas and contemplate its existence in the vast universe. Alexander Skarsgård is set to lead the series and serve as an executive producer.
