English Teacher Season 1 Commissioned by FX

FX has officially greenlit "English Teacher," a comedy series created by and featuring Brian Jordan Alvarez. The project, initially ordered to pilot in June 2022, is now moving forward with a series order. Paul Simms, known for his work on FX's "Atlanta" and "What We Do in the Shadows," serves as an executive producer on the show. Additionally, Jonathan Krisel, recognized for "Baskets" and "Portlandia," is also an executive producer on "English Teacher." The series revolves around a high school teacher in Austin attempting to navigate the ever-shifting demands of both students and parents in a world where the rules seem to change daily.
