Amazon Prime Video is expanding its presence in the realm of true crime mysteries. The streaming service has given the green light to Raw TV, the production company behind "The Tinder Swindler" and "Don’t F**k with Cats," to create "Dead in the Water." This gripping series will unfold the compelling global narrative of the relentless pursuit of a ruthless killer, spanning a staggering four decades. In 1978, a young British couple, Chris Farmer and Peta Frampton, embarked on what was meant to be the adventure of a lifetime through remote Central America. However, their exhilarating backpacking journey took a dark turn when they were brutally murdered, and the quest to apprehend their killer reached a dead end. Fast forward four decades, failed by traditional law enforcement, the family of the victims takes matters into their own hands, initiating a manhunt that plunges them into the uncharted territory of online sleuthing, leading to a shocking revelation. This new addition to Prime Video's true crime lineup reflects the platform's heightened focus on this genre in the UK. "Dead in the Water" is set to premiere next year in the UK, Ireland, Canada, and the Netherlands.
