Set in the flourishing ancient city of Kyoto, Minamoto Hiromasa, a court musician and Emperor Daigo's grandson, seeks to uncover the mysteries shrouding the city's unsettling demon disturbances. His journey brings him to the residence of the esteemed onmyoji, the yin-yang diviners, where he crosses paths with the enigmatic Abe Seimei. Despite Hiromasa's frustration with Seimei's detachment from the mundane world, the two unite to confront the malevolent forces causing chaos. Their quest leads them to the elusive onmyoji Ashiya Doman, concealed within the shadows of the demonic turmoil. Alongside Hiromasa's flute teacher, Imperial Prince Atsumi, the emperor's onmyoji Kamo Yasunori, and Lady Tsuyuko, their intertwining emotions become the threads of destiny that will determine the peace of the capital.

This is the journey of mismatched friends, bound by a shared fate, as they embark on the path of trials and tribulations.
