Prepare for an exciting animated adventure as the eight-part series, created by writer Malenga Mulendema and produced by South African toon studio Triggerfish and London-based kids specialist Cake, takes center stage. With animation by France's Superprod and a talented cast of African voice actors including John Kani, Pamela Nomvete, Zowa Ngwira, Namisa Mdlalose, Nancy Sekhokoane, and Sparky Xulu, alongside international actors John McMillan and Kimani Arthur, this series is set to captivate audiences.
In a Neo-futuristic city of Lusaka, four school-age teenagers find themselves recruited as superheroes by a retired secret agent. As they face off against various supervillains, such as a man with metal legs, a swarm of locust-like bugs, a helmeted cyborg-like character, an older woman with electricity powers, and even a crocodile-human hybrid, the girls remain committed to each other as a team, despite the challenges and doubts thrown their way.
The series showcases the theme of unity as the girls continuously support one another, defying their families and societal expectations. Mulendema serves as the creator and co-executive producer of the series, with Anthony Silverston, Mike Buckland, Tom van Waveren, Edward Galton, and Amy Keating Rogers as executive producers. Ciara Breslin joins Cake and Triggerfish as a producer, while Linda Sokhulu voices secret agent Mama K in the isiZulu dub of the show.
