HBO has given a series order to the limited series Untitled Brad Ingelsby Task Force Project (w/t), which will star Mark Ruffalo and be produced in association with wiip. The series will be written and executive produced by Brad Ingelsby, known for his work on HBO's "Mare of Easttown." Jeremiah Zagar, director of "We the Animals," will serve as director and executive producer.
This marks the reunion of Ingelsby and wiip with HBO since the success of "Mare of Easttown," the Emmy-winning limited series. Casting decisions were made prior to the WGA strike, and no further development has occurred since the strike began. The series is yet to be scheduled for production.
The series is based on an original idea and follows a task force of law enforcement officers as they pursue the criminals they are trying to apprehend. Francesca Orsi, EVP Programming and Head of HBO Drama Series and Films, expressed excitement about collaborating with Brad Ingelsby again and praised his creativity and ability to captivate audiences. The addition of Mark Ruffalo and Jeremiah Zagar to the project is highly anticipated, with Orsi highlighting their talents and their potential to bring great humanity and visual storytelling to the series.
