This is an unfortunate example of someone constantly expecting parents to provide funds and bow down to Coach Rory. It should be the other way around. Narcissistic much?
Where does all the money go?
As for Rory and Roy, they've been paid 2X and stole the money. Examples included are the costumes, the Ice time, cost of events, travel and lodging. They had a fiduciary responsibility to account for all the money they were paid for coaching and how they spent it. They didn't. I was appalled by the way she behaved around the children. She pitted them against each other and their parents. Like not telling about nationals. My biggest issue, her HOT MIKE when she cussed the parents in front of the skaters. NO Season 2
I hate to say I don't think there should be a season 2, but this show is trying to be an imitation of Bring It On and they are doing a horrible job. It's one thing to have LOVING discipline to help build confidence, but shaming, disrespecting and disregarding young, impressionable BLACK women is a HUGE NO for me.
I love ice skating and seeing black young, talented females was so amazing, but I've never heard of Rory and I guess she is trying to relive her long ago accomplishment. Being one of the first black skaters is phenomenal, but she needs to build others up and stop tearing them down.
