Netflix has signed a new lucrative agreement with Dark creators Baran bo Odar and Jantje Friese, who they made their first-ever European overall series deal with five years ago. The German duo, known for their big-budget mystery drama 1899, will now be working on a comic book adaptation called Something Is Killing The Children, in collaboration with Boom! Studios, which also has a partnership with Netflix.

The story follows a town called Archer's Peak, where children are disappearing and those who return tell horrifying tales of monsters lurking in the shadows. A mysterious stranger named Erica Slaughter arrives in town and becomes the children's only hope to stop the monsters as she possesses the same ability as them to see and fight these creatures.
