After a brief ten-year hiatus, Futurama returns with its original cast and satirical charm, offering ten all-new episodes in season eleven. The series continues the epic love story of Fry and Leela, unveils long-held mysteries, and tackles contemporary themes such as vaccines, cancel culture, and streaming TV.
Futurama, which premiered in 1999, gained a dedicated following and critical acclaim for its satirical commentary on present-day life. The show follows Fry, a pizza delivery boy from New York City who wakes up in the year 3000 after accidentally freezing himself. Joined by his robot friend Bender and one-eyed love interest Leela, Fry works at the Planet Express Delivery Company, embarking on thrilling adventures across the universe.
After its initial run on Fox, Futurama experienced several cancellations and revivals. The show's success led to direct-to-DVD releases and a resurrection on Comedy Central. Now, after a decade-long break, Futurama returns as a streaming series for Hulu, with a 20-episode order set to premiere in 2023.

Hulu has dropped another Futurama trailer to whet the whistle of fans.
Here’s the official logline for the new iteration: After a brief ten-year hiatus, Futurama has crawled triumphantly from the cryogenic tube, its full original cast and satirical spirit intact. The ten all-new episodes of season eleven have something for everyone. New viewers will be able to pick up the series from here, while long-time fans will recognize payoffs to decades-long mysteries – including developments in the epic love story of Fry and Leela, the mysterious contents of Nibbler’s litter box, the secret history of evil Robot Santa, and the whereabouts of Kif and Amy’s tadpoles. Meanwhile there’s a whole new pandemic in town as the crew explores the future of vaccines, bitcoin, cancel culture, and streaming TV.

Futurama is finally arriving this summer on Hulu.
The long-awaited revival of the animated series is set to premiere Monday, July 24 on the streamer. New episodes will be released weekly during season 11, which consists of 10 episodes.

Holdout John DiMaggio has closed a deal to reprise his signature voice role as foul-mouthed robot Bender and an assortment of other characters in the revival, which has a 20-episode order.
