General information and cast
Based on the works by novelist Philip K. Dick, the brand new Sci-Fi anthology series Philip K. Dick’s Electric Dreams – also known as Electric Dreams: The World of Philip K. Dick – premiered the British Channel 4 on September 17th, 2017 with ten brand new stand-alone episodes for its very first season. The show is an American British collaboration and was originally commissioned by AMC and Channel 4, but the US network AMC pulled out and left it to Amazon to pick up the series. The show hails from the production companies Channel 4 and Sony Pictures Television and is executive produced by Maril Davis, James Degus, Matt DeRoss, Isa Dick Hackett, Katie DiMento, Michael Dinner, Kalen Egan and, amongst others, the incredibly talented Bryan “Breaking Bad” Cranston, who also stars in one episode.
The series boasts a star-studded cast featuring high caliber personalities such as Steve Buscemi, Geraldine Chaplin, Richard Madden, Timothy Spall, Anna Paquin, Greg Kinner, Mireille Enos, Holliday Grainger, Jason Mitchell, Vera Farmiga, Juno Temple, Janelle Monae, Liam Cunningham, Terrence Howard, Benedict Wong and Julia Davis, to name just a few. Each episode is its very own short story by the Award winning writer Philip K. Dick.
