General information and cast
The brand new cooking and baking game series Dessert Games premiered on the Food Network on July 10th, 2017. The show is based on the hugely popular show Guy’s Grocery Games, which originally debuted back in October 2013 and has been renewed for overall 15 seasons so far. The host of this new show Dessert Games is none other than Guy Fieri together with the judges Ron Ben Israel and dessert master Duff Goldman himself, taking this brand new take on this already established television cooking series to a new and much sweeter level. The show hails from the production company Lando Entertainment and is executive produced by John Bravakis, Steve Kroopnick, Brian Lando, Francesco Giuseppe Pace and Guy Fieri himself.
Guy Fieri has handed over the keys to his grocery store and Duff Goldman went and restocked the shelves with some sweet goodness. In each episode, four competitors will have to race through the store and pick the ingredients they need to create the most delicious desserts ever tasted. During the course of three rounds their abilities are challenged where they have to make a dessert out of beef jerky, or transform store-bought items as well as creating dessert imposters. Whichever dish impresses the judges the most will win the grand prize of $10,000.
