On August 4th, 2017 the sequel to the hugely popular Netflix Original comedy series Wet Hot American: First Day of Camp and also David Wain’s eponymous 2001 movie premiered as Wet Hot American Summer: Ten Years Later season 1. Created by David Wain and Michael Showalter, the American comedy television series is produced by Netflix and executive produced by the show’s creators Wain and Showalter, as well as Howard Bernstein, Peter Principato and Jonathan Stern.
The pack is back! Almost everyone from the star-studded original cast is back – Elizabeth Banks, Janeane Garofalo, Christopher Meloni, Marguerite Moreau, Zak Orth, Marisa Ryan, Adam Scott, Ken Marino, Paul Rudd, Kristin Wiig and Amy Poehler – the list is endless. The one face most will have to miss is Bradley Cooper, who was replaced by the very talented Adam Scott. As the former junior camp councilors return to the summer camp in Maine 10 years later for a reunion, things go just as bad as they did during their epic 1981 summer and it looks like they haven’t grown up at all!
