The first season of the reality show Renovation Realities: Ben & Ginger premiered on the DIY Network with four episodes on May 6th, 2017. The series is produced by Picture Road Productions and executive produced by Ross Babbit, Dale Roy Robinson and Mike Stafford. The show is a spinoff of the wildly popular original series Renovation Realities, which ran for a whopping 17 seasons between 2007 and 2016.
The celebrity version Renovation Realities: Ben & Ginger follows NBC reporter Ben Aaron and his wife Ginger Zee, weather anchor for Good Morning America, as they tackle their fixer upper home in suburban New York City and try to transform it into their dream home by renovating it themselves. As we all know, renovation projects never go according to plan and unexpected costs as well as unforeseen time delays all put a different spin on how things are going during the transformation. These things always look so easy on TV, but the reality is, that those speedy before and after scenes are just that and what happens in between is often left out. Once the house is gutted to its studs and the walls are removed the real fun begins. TV personalities like Robin Roberts, Amy Robach and Lara Spencer also feature in guest appearances.
