UPDATED July 26, 2017: Having wrapped up its debut installment in March, the E! network’s newest reality series So Cosmo won’t be back for another round, it has been confirmed. The decision to cancel Season 2 of So Cosmo is not surprising – the show failed to reach even 0.2 million viewers during its first season. Perhaps, there wasn’t enough drama or cat fighting viewers come to expect from most reality shows.

The Devil Wears Prada has competition! A brand new reality drama series called So Cosmo premiered on 8th February 2017 on E!, giving us an exclusive insight into one of the largest fashion magazines in the world – yes, Ladies – we are talking about Cosmopolitan magazine. The show is being produced by BMP (Bunim-Murray Productions) and executive produced by former chief editor of Cosmopolitan Joanna Coles and who also stars as one of the main cast members, as well as Rob Bagshaw, Melissa Bidwell, Gil Goldschein and Jeff Jenkins to name but a few.
The new reality TV series, So Cosmo Season 1 follows the lives of those decision makers and the machine that drives this very popular fashion magazine on a daily basis. With Joanna Coles at the forefront and other important personnel like Aya Kanai, who is the Executive Fashion Director, Leah Wyar Romito, the Executive Beauty Director, Brand Coordinator Diandra Barnwell and Senior Fashion Editor Tiffany Reid amongst others, we get to see what it’s like to run a successful magazine in today’s fast paced world. We also get a glimpse of their personal lives as well as their professional routines. The magazine Cosmopolitan is not only about fashion, but also covers important current affairs, sex, fitness and everything else that may be interesting to its predominantly female audience.
In an interview, Joanna Coles promised topless models and hunks in speedos, so that might have been reason enough for some viewers to tune into this Devil Wears Prada “remake”, even though this Editor-in-chief is not anything like Miranda Priestly in the famous movie. Apparently, the reality in these fashionable offices is supposedly much funnier (which would explain her previously mentioned comment about the models and speedos) and we shouldn’t be surprised if we get to see the odd famous face popping up, like Kylie Jenner. The overall rating for So Cosmo comes in strong for a reality show with 7.3 out of 10 stars on IMDb, so now it all it all depends on the viewing figures, which don’t necessarily have to reflect the viewer ratings. E! has yet to announce a decision with regards to the future of So Cosmo Season 2, so check back with us for regular updates.
