About the series
On October 12, 2016 American Heroes Channel (AHC) has launched a new historic documentary series Cold War Armageddon. The program's freshman season contains eight one-hour episodes. It is produced by Big Media and KM Plus Media, and executive produced by Danny Wilk, Jon Loew, Martin Kase, and Ron Simon.
The series takes a close look at how the struggle between the two superpowers, the United States and the USSR, has developed starting with the end of World War II. The bitter rivalry has been going through various stages, sometimes coming to a boiling point that could have lead to complete annihilation, yet, thankfully, military tensions never actually traversed the line of head-on conflict. However, this decades-long power struggle has undoubtedly reshaped the political and military landscape in the world, and if you'd like a thorough crash course on how exactly that happened, Cold War Armageddon is the program for you.
