When tragedy strikes and 27-year-old Tore loses the most cherished person in his life in a devastating garbage truck accident, he instinctively attempts to bury his overwhelming grief. In the light of day, he carries on with his duties at his father's funeral home, masking his pain as if nothing has occurred, while simultaneously engaging in a flirtation with the new florist, Erik.
Yet, as night descends, he seeks solace on a party boat in the city, where he immerses himself in a world of alcohol, sex, and drugs, venturing into these uncharted waters for the very first time.
Amidst the allure of this new and alluring, albeit perilous, existence, Tore's transformation becomes evident to those who care about him. His best friend, Linn, and his colleagues at the funeral home, become increasingly concerned as they witness Tore teetering on the brink of losing himself in his desperate bid to escape the crushing reality of his loss.
