With Caple appointed as the director in November 2020, Ramos and Fishback were cast in the lead human roles by 2021. Notably, Michael Bay, renowned for directing the first five live-action Transformers films and producing Bumblebee, returns as a producer for this installment.
Principal photography took place from June to October 2021, encompassing stunning locations such as Los Angeles, Peru, Montreal, and New York City.
